Zero Brokerage

Learn more about important trading and financial terms here. Need more help? Our team is ready.

Zero brokerage indicates that a broker does not charge a “brokerage fee” from its registered users. This benefit may apply to a specific market segment or extend across all segments.   For example,

  • A broker may offer zero brokerage on equity delivery trades.
  • However, it charges brokerage on intraday, futures, options, or other transactions.

Furthermore, zero brokerage trading in India does not necessarily mean zero trading costs. Investors may still have to pay charges such as STT (Securities Transaction Tax), exchange transaction charges, GST, SEBI charges, stamp duty, and other applicable fees.
