What is Intraday Trading?

Intraday trading is the process of buying and selling a security within the “same” trading day (without carrying the position to the next trading day). For example, 

• Suppose an investor buys 100 shares of a company at ₹500 during the trading session.
• They sell those shares at ₹510 on the same day. 
• Since the position has been closed before the end of the trading day, it qualifies as an “intraday trade”.

• Always prepare a trading plan, where you define the entry, exit, stop-loss, and maximum acceptable loss. before placing a trade.
• Risk only a pre-defined percentage of your available capital (decided as per your risk appetite) on any single trade.
• Set a stop-loss level to limit losses if the trade moves against the expected direction.
