 What is a Demo Account?

Learn more about important trading and financial terms here. Need more help? Our team is ready.

A demo account is a “simulated” trading account that allows users to practise in the financial markets without using actual money. It generally uses virtual funds and replicates market prices or trading conditions.

Thus, a demo trading account (without real money) does not involve actual capital being invested in the market. However, simulated results may differ from live trading due to factors such as execution, bid-ask spreads, availability of liquidity, and emotional decision-making.
